Who are we? We are a support group for at-home mothers living in Madison Heights, Troy or Hazel Park.
What do we do? We meet during the day, when at-home mothers most need support! We plan mom-and-child events each month that fit in with an at-home mom’s budget! Sometimes it’s playing at a park, meeting for a cup of coffee, or a play date at a member's home. Once a month, we also have a much-needed evening event just for MOMS!
We enjoy giving back by performing a community service projects that benefit children either in our local community or worldwide.
Just a phone call, text or message away is a group of moms just like you who are ready with recommendations for everything from plumbers to babysitters to baby bottles, and loads of experience to share. Just ask a question or vent your day’s frustration and we’ll be here to listen, support or give advice.
How we came to be? The MOMS Club began in 1983 when Mary James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club was born. The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club, too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs across the country and around the world!
We now have 2,000+ chapters in the US alone and over 100,000 members! We also have International chapters starting, too!
